On August 9th, 1862 the Battle of Cedar Mountain was fought between Union and Confederate armies in Northern Virginia resulting in more than 3700 casualties on both sides.
This map, drawn by Union soldier H. Hawley depicts troop positions and key geographic features. It also labels a few points of note including a school house and a church.
In July 2025, a church still stands on the same site.
How much (to the nearest dollar) did the modern church cost to build?
